David Glasser, LAC, EMDR, Associate CSAT, Associate CPTT
Specialist in Trauma, Intimacy Disorders, and Partner Betrayal
As a proud graduate of the Prescott House program, David Glasser combines the profound empathy of lived experience with top-tier clinical expertise. Today, he is one of our most requested primary therapists, using his own journey of recovery to show men that a life free from the exhausting cycle of addiction is entirely possible.
David is highly specialized in treating the complex intersection of underlying trauma and intimacy disorders, holding a powerful suite of advanced clinical certifications:
EMDR & Trauma Resolution
David is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), the global gold standard for trauma therapy. He understands that substance abuse and process addictions are rarely the core problem—they are usually symptoms of unresolved pain. Through EMDR, David helps men safely process the deep-seated trauma that drives their destructive behaviors.
Sex Addiction & Betrayal Trauma
Currently completing his full credentialing as a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT), David provides rigorous, evidence-based care for men struggling with compulsive sexual behavior and pornography addiction. Crucially, David is also an Associate Certified Partner Trauma Therapist (CPTT). This means he doesn’t just treat the individual’s addiction; he is specifically trained to understand and validate the devastating betrayal trauma experienced by wives and partners, ensuring the whole family system has a path to healing.
Clinical Style & The "Masks" We Wear
Outside of the clinical setting, David is a passionate thespian with a background in acting and independent film. This lifelong involvement in the arts gives him a unique superpower in the therapy room: a profound understanding of human emotion and the "roles" we play. Addicts are often masters of wearing masks to hide their secret lives. David’s deep emotional intelligence allows him to see past the facade, helping men drop the act, get honest, and do the real work of recovery.
