Steve Dippe
When you call Prescott House, there is a good chance Steve Dippe will be the one answering the phone. As our Admissions Coordinator and a proud alumnus of the program, Steve doesn’t just understand the admissions process—he understands exactly what it feels like to be the man walking through our doors.
Steve's own journey to recovery was hard-fought. After years of early trauma, severe addiction, and cycles of incarceration, he arrived at Prescott House in 2017. Like many of the men we treat, he was initially resistant. But after reaching a point of total surrender, Steve leaned into the program, challenged his negative thoughts, and found a profound sense of peace and self-worth he never thought possible.
Today, Steve is known for his remarkable ability to reach the "unreachable." Because he sat in the exact same chairs our residents sit in, he can cut through the defenses of our most resistant clients with honesty, vulnerability, and radical empathy. For families feeling hopeless, Steve is living proof that no one is too far gone. He stands ready to help the next man find the same beautiful, transformed life he found here.
Take a few minutes to watch Steve share his journey in his own words. Fair warning: his story is incredibly powerful, and we frequently see it bring grown men to tears. It is a testament to the life-changing work that happens here.
